Blossom Years Nursery

The project is located on a green belt site in Chislehurst, Kent. The proposal is to replace an existing pre-school nursery housed within a prefabricated building.

The new construction will take advantage of the setting and orientation of the plot. The main elements of the design was to provide a building that would enable the children to enjoy an environment that is warm and friendly and conducive to learning.  An edible garden to the front and wilderness to the rear provides choice of play and learning. The building also will provide a community focus on the edge of a recreation area and provide for out of hours community activities. The construction takes a sustainable approach through choice of materials, orientation, use of landscaping and services.
