Bar Sia is a Grade II listed building which has been sympathetically restored and the original features have been incorporated into the design to form a contemporary bar on two levels with an original plunge pool at mezzanine level.
The ground floor lounge employs the originally used in the baths by introducing pre-cast terrazzo platform seating and steps. Eco Brazilian timber clads the upper ground floor bar area walls and ceiling with bespoke perspex light fittings and pre-cast terrazzo bar counter adds solidity with anodised aluminium wine storage on the back wall.
The original marble stairs leads you to mezzanine plunge pool with carefully positioned cut outs of tiles to view hot rooms and shower rooms. The basement has been restored to reveal rooms which has been closed for over 60 years as well as having new intimate timber seating with light fittings especially designed to highlight individual glazed tiles and areas. Materials used throughout are solid, giving the refurbishment depth and longevity. All furniture, light fittings, seating and art work are bespoke giving the baths new life.
