A very good example of Georgian architecture with many original features still intact, this house in Bedford Square has acted as office space for many years.
The proposal is to return it to residential use. The main building will form a single dwelling while the mews to the rear will be converted into flats. The approach was to reveal the original features and form while inserting the modern services as freestanding objects. The aim is to retain the clarity of the original architecture. The detailed application required consultation with English Heritage and The Georgian Society.
